A Guide Book of United States Coins 2015 by Y.S. Yeoman, Kenneth Bressett Senior Editor – This is the standard reference on US coins. This book has been published yearly since 1947. This is a “must have” book if you collect US coins.
Strike It Rich with Pocket Change – Error Coins Bring Big Money by Brian Allen and Ken Potter. This book goes into how error coins are made and the main varieties of errors.
The Expert’s Guide to Collecting & Investing in Rare Coins by Q. David Bowers. Another excellent book by Mr. Bowers. If you want to get started in rare coin show investment then this is the book to have. The book goes into the history of the coin market how you can profit for this unique investment opportunity.
The Official American Numismatic Association Grading Standards for United States Coins, 6th edition. Edited by Kenneth Bressett with narrative by Q. David Bowers. This book has hundreds of pictures that help you grade all the standard issue US coins.
Gold Rush – How to Collect, Invest & Profit with Gold Coins Edited by Arlyn Sieber, Contributing Editor Mitchel Battino. This book gives the history, pictures, grading information and pricing information for hundreds of commonly traded gold coins. This is a very helpful book if you are into gold coins.
A Guide Book of Franklin & Kennedy Half Dollars by Rick Tomaska. 2011 Whitman Publishing, LLC. This is a good date-by-date analysis of both the Franklin and Kennedy half dollars.
A Guide Book of Morgan Silver Dollars A Complete History and Price Guide. 2nd Edition. By Q. David Bowers. 2005 Whitman Publishing, LLC. The book gives a historical background on the Morgan dollar and a date-by-date analysis of the series. If you collect Morgan dollars, this is a good book to own.

Standard Catalog of United States Paper Money, 30th edition, by George S. Cuhaj and William Brandimore. Krause Publications. This is one of the standard references on the subject of U.S. paper money. The book is packed with useful information on collecting U.S. paper money. It is normally updated each year with current pricing information and new paper money issues.
United States Paper Money Errors A Comprehensive Catalog & Price Guide, 3rd Edition, by Dr. Frederick J. Bart, Krause Publications. You wouldn’t believe how many ways mistakes can occur in the printing of paper money. This book goes all the major types of paper money errors and gives approximate prices for these notes. Lots of pictures and text.
